President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov participated in the first Central Asia–European Union Summit on Friday in Samarkand, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan, playing a significant role in Central Asia, is actively involved in creating an effective collective security system and strengthening its positions in international politics and the economy. The country’s desire to contribute to peace and prosperity is reflected in its participation in high-level meetings, where it makes significant contributions to addressing urgent global issues.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s speech at the summit highlighted Turkmenistan’s readiness to expand cooperation and use available opportunities to advance effective international relations.
The summit in Samarkand, attended by the heads of Central Asian states and EU leadership, covered promising areas of cooperation in trade, economics, investment, and cultural and humanitarian fields.
