Representatives of Turkmenistan took part in the second stage of the Regional Forum organized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and Olympic Solidarity (OS), held in Dushanbe on April 6–7, as reported by the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Thursday.

The forum gathered representatives from over 22 National Olympic Committees across West and Central Asia. Key topics included preparations for several major continental events: the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, the 2026 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Riyadh, and the 20th Asian Games, scheduled for 2026 in Aichi and Nagoya, Japan.

Forum participants also reviewed International Olympic Committee programs and discussed athlete preparation for the 34th Summer Olympic Games, set to take place in Los Angeles in 2028.

As part of the event, a “Friendship Run” was held to promote healthy lifestyles, encourage sports participation, and strengthen friendly ties among the participating delegations.

The first part of the regional forum was previously held in Thimphu, Bhutan, gathering representatives of National Olympic Committees from East, South, and Southeast Asia.
