 Turkmenistan Highlights Global Initiatives at Antalya Diplomacy Forum

A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, participated in the fourth Antalya Diplomacy Forum held on Thursday in Antalya, Türkiye. Speaking at the session titled “Cooperation, Digitalization, and Development”, Geldimyradov presented a series of international initiatives proposed by Turkmenistan aimed at promoting global stability and sustainable development.

Among the key proposals were the creation of a Global Atlas of Sustainable Transport Connectivity, the formation of an Alliance for Global Energy Security, and a transition towards a circular economy, according to the Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministry.

Geldimyradov emphasized that Turkmenistan adheres to a foreign policy based on the principles of positive neutrality and actively promotes constructive partnerships for the common good.

Special attention was drawn to the fact that, at Turkmenistan’s initiative, the United Nations General Assembly has declared 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, marking international recognition of the country’s contribution to dialogue and global resilience.

On the sidelines of the forum, the Deputy Prime Minister met with Erol Özvar, Chairman of the Council of Higher Education of the Republic of Türkiye. The two sides discussed expanding cooperation in science and higher education, including joint academic activities between universities of the two nations.
