President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Endo Toshiaki, Chairman of the Japan-Turkmen Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group on Monday as part of his official visit to Japan, according to turkmen media.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the partnership between the two nations, covering political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian areas.
Special attention was paid to the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation, which was described as a vital tool for fostering mutual understanding and trust between the peoples of Turkmenistan and Japan.
The President of Turkmenistan positively assessed the contribution of the friendship group to the development of bilateral cooperation.
The Turkmen leader arrived in Japan to participate in the World Expo 2025 in Osaka.
