Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva, Vepa Hajiyev, met on Friday with Umberto de Pretto, Secretary General of the International Road Transport Union (IRU), to discuss prospects for cooperation in the field of transport and logistics, as reported by Turkmenistan's Permanent Mission to the UN in Geneva.

Hajiyev emphasized the importance of Turkmenistan-IRU collaboration and expressed readiness to strengthen partnership in these areas.

At the conclusion of the meeting, he extended an official invitation to de Pretto to attend events marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality, set to take place in December.

On the same day, Vepa Hajiyev, Turkmenistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Office in Geneva, held a meeting with Amy Pope, Regional Director for Europe of the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The parties discussed matters of mutual interest and explored avenues for expanding cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, Hajiyev extended an official invitation to Pope to attend the upcoming events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality.
