Turkmen Charity Fund Delegation to Visit Uzbekistan

The National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, visited the city of Arkadag on Wednesday, where he held a meeting with the leadership of the Charity Fund for Assisting Children in Need of Guardianship named after him. During the meeting, Vice President of the Fund Rejep Bazarov proposed to organize the first visit of the board members to Uzbekistan to popularize the Turkmen experience.

According to Turkmenistan's official media, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov supported the initiative, noting the expediency of organizing the first visit to the neighboring republic.

The participants of the meeting reviewed the Fund’s current projects and discussed priority areas for its further development. Special attention was given to issues of international cooperation and the outcomes of the forum dedicated to the Fund’s fourth anniversary.

Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice President for Medical Affairs, emphasized the importance of a scientific approach to raising a healthy generation, the development of preventive medicine, and the digitalization of healthcare. In her report, she particularly highlighted the principle “Healthy Mother – Healthy Child.”

At the conclusion of the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen People instructed the Fund to organize regional visits across the country to assess the practical implementation of state programs in multidisciplinary hospitals and maternal and child health centers.
