Turkmenistan Economic Investment Forum (TEIF 2025) opened this week in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.
In a message to participants, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov extended his congratulations, stating, “I sincerely congratulate you on the launch of this international investment forum, held abroad in the beautiful spring days of 2025 — a year proclaimed by our country as the International Year of Peace and Trust.”
The forum brought together representatives from national and international energy companies, including CNPC, Dragon Oil, Petronas, Mitro, and ENI.
Discussions focused on investment opportunities in Turkmenistan’s oil and gas sector, with special emphasis on the modernization of the Turkmenbashi and Seydi oil refineries. Participants also reviewed prospects for offshore blocks 21 and 23, the development of the Western Cheleken field, upgrades to mature deposits, and further exploration of one of the world’s largest gas field — Galkynysh.
The event was organized by state concerns Turkmengaz and Turkmennebit, along with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen Energy Forum initiative group.
