President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a resolution on Friday during a regular Cabinet of Ministers meeting, approving procedures for developing and adopting industrial safety standards and regulations, according to Turkmenistan’s official media.
The resolution was adopted to regulate industrial safety in line with Article 4 of the Law of Turkmenistan "On Industrial Safety of Hazardous Production Facilities".
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Hojamyrat Geldimyradov presented the draft resolution during the meeting. According to his report, the document was prepared by the Main State Service Türkmenstandartlary in cooperation with relevant ministries, sectoral agencies, and the administrations of the velayats, Ashgabat, and Arkadag.
Turkmen President Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of adhering to industrial safety standards for the modernization and sustainable development of the national economy. After signing the resolution, the head of state sent the document to the deputy prime minister through the digital system and issued a number of instructions for its implementation.
Several other issues related to national affairs were also discussed at Friday’s Cabinet meeting.
