Children across Turkmenistan received sweet holiday gifts on the occasion of the spring season from President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, according to state news agency of Turkmenistan reported Thursday.
Festive events were held at the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Children's Rehabilitation Center and its affiliated kindergartens, where children received gift packages filled with treats. A celebratory atmosphere also prevailed at the capital’s Dowletliler Palace, where the gift-giving was accompanied by musical performances and children’s concerts.
A gift presentation ceremony also took place in the city of Arkadag, where children received sweets on behalf of the head of state and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, along with warm wishes. Speakers at the event emphasized the government’s strong commitment to supporting the younger generation and highlighted the contributions of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation in promoting the well-being of children in need of care.
Children in other regions of the country also received gifts, including many who have won creative competitions and international festivals. In response to the gesture, the children expressed sincere gratitude for the care and attention shown to them.
