Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan signed a protocol at the conclusion of the first meeting of their joint commission on transport, transit, and logistics, held April 28–30 in Bishkek, according to Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kyrgyzystan.

The protocol outlines agreements on several priority areas, including the development of transit transportation, the expansion of multimodal routes, and deeper cooperation in road, rail, and water transport. The sides also discussed the effective use of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport and coordination on tariff policy.

The next meeting of the commission is scheduled for 2026 and will be hosted by Turkmenistan.

The first meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Kyrgyz Commission on Transport, Transit and Logistics opened on 28 April in Bishkek.
