Turkmenistan is ready to offer French businessmen favorable conditions for investment and further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation, stated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, during the Turkmen-French Economic Forum on Monday in Paris, as reported by Turkmenistan’s state news agency.

Referring to an analysis by the International Monetary Fund, Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan is among the developing economies and possesses a modern legal framework that meets international standards and ensures investment protection.

Among the proposals to expand partnerships with French entrepreneurs, he highlighted: promoting French goods and services in Turkmenistan, including in the oil and gas sector, chemical industry, transport, pharmaceuticals, and satellite technologies. The second area focuses on attracting advanced French technologies in geological exploration, methane emission reduction, urban development, as well as "green" and hydrogen energy.

The third proposal involves the participation of small and medium-sized French businesses in projects on the Turkmen market. The fourth is cooperation in the tourism sector. The fifth area involves training specialists in the mentioned industries.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also proposed holding meetings of the Turkmen-French Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation and the Turkmen-French Working Group on Energy Issues in 2025. He expressed interest in continuing international events similar to the Energy Forum held in Paris in 2024.

Furthermore, Turkmenistan offers to organize an exhibition in Paris in 2027–2028 showcasing Bronze Age artifacts discovered within the country.
