President of Turkmenistan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov, chaired a meeting of the State Security Council on Wednesday, during which he signed a decree announcing a series of appointments and dismissals within the national prosecutor’s office, according to state media.
According to decree, Justice Counselor Ovezgeldi Gurbanovich Berdiev was appointed Military Prosecutor of Ahal Velayat, replacing Junior Justice Counselor Toyly Allanazarovich Roziyev, who was relieved of his duties upon the expiration of his term.
Junior Justice Counselor Shyhly Alladurdyyevich Pellayev, formerly the prosecutor of Shavat district in Dashoguz Velayat, was appointed Deputy Prosecutor of Lebap Velayat.
Kerim Ovezmuhammedovich Nurgeldiyev, a First-Class Legal Advisor, was named Prosecutor of the city of Turkmenbashi in Balkan Velayat. His predecessor, Justice Counselor Agarejep Babaniyazovich Gurdov, was reassigned as Prosecutor of Halach district in Lebap Velayat.
First-Class Legal Advisor Annanur Jumamyradovich Hommadov was appointed Prosecutor of Etrek district in Balkan Velayat, replacing Justice Counselor Begench Ovlyakulyyevich Rahmedov.
Yaran Gochmyradovich Yarov, also a First-Class Legal Advisor, was named Prosecutor of Shavat district in Dashoguz Velayat. Meanwhile, Nurmyrat Nurmammedovich Halmyradov was appointed Prosecutor of Bayramaly district in Mary Velayat, replacing Junior Justice Counselor Mekan Orazmyradovich Bayramgeldiyev.
Junior Justice Counselor Azat Yazmammedovich Bekmammedov was dismissed from his post as Prosecutor of Halach district in Lebap Velayat.
The meeting also reviewed the performance of the Turkmenistan’s military and law enforcement agencies over the first four months of 2025 and addressed issues related to ensuring national security.
