A total of 289 pilgrims from Turkmenistan will travel to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj pilgrimage from May 31 to June 23, 2025, as reported by official Turkmen media on Friday.
The pilgrimage was authorized by a decree signed by Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers has been tasked with organizing a special flight to Saudi Arabia and back. The journey will be financed by Türkmenhowaýollary, the national airline of Turkmenistan.
The Hajj takes place during the days of Eid al-Adha (Kurban Bayram). Turkmenistan sends pilgrims annually to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina to perform the Hajj.
