The Tbilisi TV Tower was lit up in the national colors of Turkmenistan to mark the country’s Constitution and State Flag Day on May 18, symbolizing its independence and neutrality, as reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia.
The gesture was also held in observance of the International Year of Peace and Trust, declared for 2025, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality—both recognized in United Nations General Assembly resolutions initiated by Ashgabat.
The lighting of the tower was a sign of respect and solidarity from Georgia, which actively supports Turkmenistan’s peacebuilding efforts on the global stage. The event symbolizes the strong ties and mutual trust between the two friendly nations.
Festive events were also held in Turkmenistan on the same day to celebrate Constitution and State Flag Day.
