Entrepreneurs from Russia’s Ryazan Region held an online meeting with Russia’s trade representative in Turkmenistan, Andrey Khripunov, to discuss opportunities for entering the Turkmen market and preparations for an international exhibition in Ashgabat, as reported by official Turkmen media on Thursday.

The videoconference was part of the “Hour with the Trade Representative” series organized by the Ryazan Region Business Development Agency. The discussions focused on prospects for cooperation with Turkmenistan, including the region’s participation in the international exhibition “Construction, Industry, Energy of Turkmenistan,” set to open on November 3.

Ryazan companies will have the chance to showcase their products at a collective regional booth — a valuable opportunity to highlight their presence in one of Turkmenistan’s priority sectors, construction, Khripunov said.

He added that amid large-scale infrastructure projects underway in Turkmenistan, demand remains strong for imported construction and industrial goods. Additionally, chemical and energy products are in high demand on the Turkmen market.

Participants received detailed information about entering the Turkmen market, including certification requirements, customs procedures, and available government support measures for exporters.
