President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Friday extended heartfelt congratulations to members of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Turkmen people on Ashgabat City Day, Turkmen Carpet Day, as well as to graduating students on the occasion of the Last Bell, as reported by Turkmenistan’s state news agency.
According to the head of state festive events dedicated to the three occasions will be held across Turkmenistan on May 25. He noted that all necessary conditions have been created in the capital for citizens to live, work, and enjoy cultural activities. As part of established traditions, the international universal exhibition “White City Ashgabat” will take place in the capital.
President Berdimuhamedov highlighted the importance of developing Turkmen carpet weaving. He expressed confidence that the upcoming carpet exhibition and thematic forum would serve as important steps in promoting the national art on the international stage.
The head of state reaffirmed his commitment to the development of the capital and the support of cultural heritage, including the traditions of Turkmen carpet weaving.
On the same day, “Last Bell” ceremonies for graduates will be held in schools across the country.
The government meeting also addressed a number of other issues related to state affairs.
