President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Friday during his working visit to Kazakhstan for the first Central Asia–Italy summit, according to Turkmenistan’s state news agency.
Both leaders warmly greeted each other and expressed confidence that the meeting would further strengthen Turkmen-Italian cooperation.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized Turkmenistan’s commitment to deepening its partnership with European countries, including Italy. He also conveyed warm greetings from the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the People’s Council, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, noting the fond memories associated with his previous official visit to Italy as head of state.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the high-level summit aimed at enhancing cooperation between Italy and Central Asian nations.
