New training and information centers will be established in Ashgabat and six districts across Turkmenistan as part of the second phase of a regional project between the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Deputy Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Cabinet of Ministers Hojamyrat Geldimyradov announced Friday during a Cabinet meeting held via video link.

According to Turkmenistan’s state media, the initiative aims to expand opportunities for young people by providing them with vocational training and other support services.

Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, after hearing the report, underscored that strengthening multi-sector cooperation with UN agencies remains a foreign policy priority for Turkmenistan. He approved the proposal and instructed the relevant officials to carry out the necessary implementation work.

Several other key social and economic issues were also reviewed and addressed during the Cabinet session.
