National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a phone conversation with Valentina Matviyenko, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, as reported by Turkmenistan’s state news agency on Sunday.
Matviyenko warmly congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his birthday, wishing him good health, long life, and continued success in his state duties. She emphasized the significance of Berdimuhamedov’s contributions to the development of Russian-Turkmen relations and conveyed greetings and best wishes for prosperity and well-being from Russian President Vladimir Putin to both Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan expressed gratitude for the kind words and extended his best wishes to the Russian president. He also highlighted Matviyenko’s role as a longstanding and sincere friend of Turkmenistan, noting her considerable contribution to strengthening bilateral dialogue.
During the conversation, both sides reaffirmed the importance of further advancing productive interstate cooperation for the benefit of the two nations.
On the same day, National Leader of the Turkmen people Berdimuhamedov held separate phone conversations with Turkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
