National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a phone conversation on Sunday with President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, according to Turkmenistan’s official media.
President Erdoğan extended heartfelt birthday congratulations to Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, wishing him strong health, prosperity, and continued success in his state duties. He also emphasized National Leader of the Turkmen people’s significant role in strengthening the traditional ties between Türkiye and Turkmenistan. Erdoğan conveyed his warm greetings to Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov as well.
Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude for the kind wishes and reaffirmed that the Republic of Türkiye is one of Turkmenistan’s closest fraternal nations. He noted with satisfaction that the bilateral relations, built on mutual respect and brotherhood, are continuing to deepen with new substance.
During the conversation, Berdimuhamedov thanked President Erdoğan for his personal contribution to the further development of Turkmen-Turkish relations.
On the same day, Berdimuhamedov held separate phone calls with Valentina Matviyenko, Chairman of the Federation Council of Russia, and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
