A total of 25,332,491,440.00 manats in cash was withdrawn through ATMs installed across Turkmenistan during 2024, according to a report published Monday by Biznes Reklama newspaper.
As of January 1, 2025, Turkmenistan’s banking system had registered 2,131 ATMs nationwide. Of those, 447 are located in Ashgabat, 11 in Arkadag, and 246 in Ahal Province.
Other regions are equipped as follows: 274 ATMs in Balkan Province, 279 in Dashoguz, 432 in Lebap, and 442 in Mary Province.
The largest number of ATMs in the country belongs to the state-owned commercial bank Daýhanbank, which operates a total of 1,022 ATMs across Turkmenistan.
According to the report, as of January 1, 2025, the number of registered bank cards in Turkmenistan reached 5,996,327. This figure represents a 34.66 percent increase compared to the number of cards registered as of January 1, 2021.
