The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) plans to organize its own exhibition pavilion at the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), which will be held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone from August 4 to 8, 2025. The announcement came during a meeting between AIIB President and Chairman of the Board Jin Liqun and Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to China, Parahat Durdyev, on July 15, according to Turkmenistan’s official media.
At the start of the meeting, Jin Liqun shared the AIIB’s experience in working with Turkmenistan and expressed interest in further expanding the partnership. He confirmed the bank’s commitment to participating in LLDC3 and highlighted its plans for active engagement during the event.
The meeting was held in a warm and constructive atmosphere. Both sides discussed promising areas of bilateral cooperation. The Turkmen delegation also presented information on the country’s modern foreign policy and its growing role in international affairs.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed appreciation for the meaningful exchange of views. The Turkmen delegation presented Jin Liqun and the AIIB library with a Chinese-language edition of selected poems by the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Pyragy.
