National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Wednesday visited the Alley of Honor in Baku as part of his visit to Azerbaijan, according to Azerbaijan’s official media.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov laid a wreath at the grave of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader and founder of modern Azerbaijan, paying tribute to the memory of the prominent statesman at his mausoleum.
National Leader of the Turkmen People also honored the memory of academician Zarifa Aliyeva, a renowned ophthalmologist, by laying flowers at her grave.
Later the same day, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedovmet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku.
