Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia Dovletmyrat Seyitmammamedov met with Kaha Sikharulidze, director of the Political Directorate for Global Affairs at Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on July 16 to discuss preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia.

The two sides exchanged views on expanding bilateral ties in the political, economic and cultural spheres and highlighted the importance of holding regular political consultations between the countries.

According to the Turkmen side, favorable conditions for developing interstate relations have strengthened trust and friendship between the leaders of Turkmenistan and Georgia.

Both officials underlined the high level of political dialogue, which they attributed to the efforts of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

The meeting also covered cooperation within multilateral frameworks, including the United Nations and other international organizations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening dialogue and diversifying cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
