President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has extended his heartfelt condolences to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in connection with the crash of an Angara Airlines passenger aircraft, which resulted in numerous casualties.
President Berdimuhamedov expressed sincere sympathy and support—on behalf of the people and Government of Turkmenistan, as well as personally—to the families and loved ones of the victims during this difficult time.
According to TASS information, the AN-24 aircraft operated by Angara Airlines was carrying around 40 passengers and six crew members.
Preliminary reports indicate that all individuals on board feared dead. In response, authorities in Russia’s Amur Region declared a regional state of emergency and announced a three-day mourning period.
