A total of 700 new passenger buses manufactured by China’s Yutong have arrived in Ashgabat. The 12-meter-long, air-conditioned buses are expected to begin serving city residents in the coming days, as reported on Sunday by the Watan Habarlary news program.

The buses are equipped with Euro-5 compliant engines, and fare payments are processed through a digital system.

Each vehicle features an intelligent system for monitoring driver performance and vehicle movement, GPS-enabled surveillance cameras, and a passenger boarding and disembarking tracking system. The buses are also fitted with accessibility features for people with disabilities and provide audio and visual notifications for upcoming stops.

Yutong is China’s largest bus manufacturer, specializing in environmentally friendly transportation solutions, including electric, hydrogen-powered, and hybrid models.
