Apple introduced its latest devices at its September event, showcasing the updated iPhone 17, the ultra-thin iPhone Air, new Apple Watch models and the third-generation AirPods Pro. The highlight of the presentation was the debut of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max.
The flagship models feature a redesigned body made of “liquid glass,” making them lighter, more durable and better at handling heat during intensive use.
The camera system has also been upgraded. All three lenses now capture images at 48 megapixels. The telephoto lens offers 8x optical and 40x digital zoom. Video recording supports 4K resolution at 120 frames per second, with the ability to film simultaneously using the front and rear cameras.
The iPhone 17 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro Max features a 6.9-inch screen. Both are protected by the new Ceramic Shield 2 glass and reach up to 3,000 nits of brightness, improving visibility in direct sunlight.Powered by the new A19 Pro chip, which Apple says is 40 percent faster than its predecessor, the devices include a vapor chamber cooling system to prevent overheating. The Pro Max model has a battery capacity exceeding 5,000 mAh, offering up to 39 hours of use on a single charge.
Both smartphones support Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and the Thread standard. Prices start at $1,099 for the iPhone 17 Pro and $1,199 for the Pro Max.
