President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov extended his congratulations to the participants of the 26th Conference of the World Turkmen Humanitarian Association, held in Ashgabat during the International Year of Peace and Trust. The forum is dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence and the 30th anniversary of its permanent neutrality, official Turkmen media reported Friday.
The head of state emphasized that the forum strengthens unity and fraternal ties among Turkmen living in various countries. He highlighted the significance of Turkmenistan’s independence and permanent neutrality, principles recognized three times by the United Nations General Assembly, calling them the foundation of the nation’s statehood and international prestige.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude to the association’s members for promoting the ideals of peace, friendship, and humanitarianism. He wished the forum’s participants success in bolstering the country’s reputation and expanding ties with Turkmen abroad.
The World Turkmen Humanitarian Association is an international public organization uniting Turkmens residing in different countries. The association supports cultural, linguistic, and family connections with the historical homeland, facilitates the preservation of traditions, promotes Turkmen heritage, and fosters cooperation with compatriots abroad.
