President of Turkmenistan Honors Winners of Türkmeniň Altyn Asyry Contest

The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has signed a decree to award the winners of the Türkmeniň Altyn Asyry contest in recognition of outstanding contributions in literature, art, culture, and achievements by young singers and talented children on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the country’s Independence. This was reported by Turkmenistan’s official media on Friday.

The laureates were presented with golden chains from the President and cash prizes. The awards for outstanding literary works, television and radio programs, high-level performance skills, artistic and decorative-applied works, musical compositions, and the organization of cultural and mass events amounted to 3,500 tmt each.

Collectives and creative centers, including the State Drama Theater named after Aman Gulmammedov, the Dokmaçylar folk-ethnographic group, the Miras folk-dance ensemble, the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan, and the Jahan creative center, each received awards of 10,500 tmt.

The carpet-weaving collectives were also recognized with prizes: the Ashgabat Art Carpet Weaving Enterprise received 9,100 tmt for the Akhan landscape carpet, while the Gyzylarbat Carpet Weaving Enterprise was awarded 6,300 tmt for the Sekizburçluk carpet.

The Central Bank of Turkmenistan has been instructed to pay the total amount of the prizes, 249,900 tmt, from the President’s Charitable Fund.

The Head of State expressed gratitude to the creative workers for their significant contribution to the development of Turkmen culture, art, and literature in the era of the revival of the new age of the state.
