Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan to Jointly Preserve Ahal-Teke and Karabakh Horses

Turkmen horse breeders and their Azerbaijani counterparts may begin collaborating to revive the art of breeding ahal-teke and karabah horses. This initiative was announced by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in his speech at the 12th Summit of the Heads of State of the Organisation of Turkic States.

"We are making efforts to promote the carpet-weaving traditions of our two nations, and we also envisage cooperation in reviving the ancient art of breeding horses, particularly the ahal-teke and karabah breeds", – the National Leader of the Turkmen People stated.

Hero-Arkadag expressed confidence that these events will contribute significantly to the development of cultural relations and proposed holding similar events with other fraternal states.
