On October 15–16, 2025, the Astana Think Tank Forum 2025 was held in Astana under the slogan “From Polarization to Partnership: Rebuilding Trust in the International System”.
The event brought together representatives of government agencies, international organizations, think tanks, and diplomatic missions accredited in the Republic of Kazakhstan to discuss contemporary challenges in world politics and ways to strengthen global cooperation.
A special session entitled “Central Asian Forum on Security and Cooperation – Central Asia in the Changing Architecture of Global Security: Challenges and Opportunities”, during which the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan B. Rejepov gave a speech dedicating it to the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality.
The session focused on the role of neutrality in ensuring sustainability and stability in Central Asia. It was noted that Turkmenistan’s neutrality remains a key element of peaceful development both in the region and in the world.
The importance of Turkmenistan’s neutral platform for promoting energy, transport, and environmental security, and the role of the Turkmenistan serving as a bridge between East and West, North and South, became the focus of attention for the participants of this forum.
At the end of the session, forum participants underlined that Turkmenistan’s positive neutrality serves as a unique model of foreign policy and an effective tool for maintaining peace and stability.
