Turkmenistan is developing investment projects for the production of caustic soda, soda ash, chlorine, hydrochloric acid, sodium sulfate, cement, and other products based on local mineral resources, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nokerguly Atagulyyev said at the Turkmenistan Economy Days forum in Frankfurt.

Atagulyyev noted that under the Presidential Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2022–2028, members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs are implementing 155 projects. These include the production of fertilizers, carbon black, ethyl alcohol, soda, and other industrial goods.

The country also plans to expand the production of televisions, electronic payment terminals, computers, laptops, and other electronic devices, the deputy chairman added.

Atagulyyev emphasized that the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, which unites more than 29,000 members, plays an important role in the national economy. Government support has enabled the private sector to take an active part in social and economic reforms, open modern enterprises, and create new jobs, now exceeding 500,000.

The deputy chairman invited German companies to participate in ongoing projects and to actively engage in international exhibitions and fairs both in Turkmenistan and abroad.

The Turkmenistan Economic Days forum is being held October 30–31 in Frankfurt, Germany. The international event is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, with TMT Consulting Group serving as co-organizer, providing organizational and communication support for the forum.
