Trade between Turkmenistan and China reached $8.344 billion in January–October 2024, the General Administration of Customs of China reported.
In October alone, bilateral trade totaled $708.537 million.
Turkmenistan accounted for the bulk of the trade, exporting $7.059 billion worth of goods to China during the period. Imports from China amounted to about $1.285 billion.
Natural gas, delivered via pipelines, remained the main component of Turkmenistan’s exports to China.
