President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, arrived in Ashgabat to participate in an international forum marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, Turkmenistan’s official media reported Thursday.
He was received at the capital’s international airport by representatives of state bodies and an honor guard.
The visit of the head of the friendly state is seen as an important contribution to further development of intergovernmental dialogue. The cooperation agenda covers political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
President Japarov’s participation in the forum underscores Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to strengthening constructive partnerships and supporting Turkmenistan’s peaceful foreign policy, built on principles of neutrality, good-neighborliness, and mutual understanding.
Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, also arrived in Ashgabat to take part in the international events.
