President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, arrived in Ashgabat on December 11 for a working visit at the invitation of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The Uzbek president will participate in the international forum marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s declaration of permanent neutrality, International Neutrality Day, and the designation of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust,” the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reported.
During the visit, Mirziyoyev is scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings with leaders of foreign states.
Earlier, Ashgabat received President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov; President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan; President of the Republic of Iraq, Abdul Latif Rashid; and President of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe, Carlos Manuel Vila Nova.
