An international forum marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality opened Thursday at the Maslahat Köşgi рalace in Ashgabat. The event is attended by high-level delegations and representatives of international organizations, according to state media.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the opening, said the policy of neutrality has become a solid foundation for the country’s sustainable development. He added that Turkmenistan’s neutral status supports high economic growth, improves citizens’ well-being and reinforces the country’s image as a responsible and predictable partner.
The President highlighted Turkmenistan’s example of consistently promoting the principles of peace, trust and mutual respect. He stressed that the modern model of neutrality is grounded in centuries-old traditions of good neighborliness and harmony.
The forum will continue as a broad international dialogue, opening new opportunities to strengthen global peace and expand partnerships.
