Turkmenistan’s neutrality is an important factor for stability and security in the region, Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan said at an international forum in Ashgabat marking the International Day of Neutrality and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, according to Turkmen official media.
Khachaturyan said Turkmenistan’s neutral status promotes international trust, dialogue and mutual understanding among states, creating conditions for peaceful development and cooperation.
The Armenian President highlighted Turkmenistan’s active role in advancing initiatives for international security and stability, emphasizing that peace is not only the absence of war but also ongoing efforts to maintain dialogue, uphold human rights, and build trust between countries.
Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with President Khachaturyan on December 11, 2025.
