Uzbekistan Launches Regular Block Trains to Europe via Turkmenbashi Port
Turkmenbashi International Seaport, Balkan Province, Turkmenistan

Uzbek company Uztemiriyulkonteyner launched regular container shipments from Uzbekistan to European countries through Turkmenbashi port in 2025, the company said Monday.

A total of 18 block trains carrying mineral fertilizers, potassium, urea, aluminum, and copper have successfully departed via the port.

The route is seen as a step toward expanding Uzbekistan’s export potential, diversifying transport and logistics channels, and strengthening its position on international transport corridors.

Turkmenbashi International Seaport, the largest and most modern in the Caspian region, covers more than 150 hectares. Its annual capacity includes 17 million tons of cargo, 300,000 passengers, 75,000 freight vehicles, and 400,000 TEU containers.
