The Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Pharmaceutical Technical University signed a mutual cooperation agreement in the pharmaceutical sector with the Turkmen company Altyn Kanun, the Uzbek agency reported Thursday.

The agreement provides for collaboration in the purchase, distribution, export, and import of pharmaceutical products manufactured in Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. It is expected to expand the pharmaceutical markets of both countries, increase bilateral trade, and strengthen economic ties.

The document also aims to develop cooperation in medical education and workforce training. Plans include training Turkmen citizens at the Pharmaceutical Technical University of Uzbekistan to obtain professional education in specialized fields.

The signed agreement is intended to elevate bilateral collaboration in pharmaceuticals and medical education, enhance scientific and practical exchange, and support the training of highly qualified specialists.
