Turkmenistan and Belarus discussed the prospects of resuming direct flights between Ashgabat and Minsk. The issue was addressed during a meeting Thursday in Ashgabat between Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Bahar Seyidova and Belarusian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Stanislav Chepurny.
According to the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the sides also focused on developing cultural cooperation, including organizing culture days, exhibitions, and other joint events.
Currently, Belavia operates regular flights on the Turkmenbashi–Minsk route twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. Return flights from Minsk to Turkmenbashi operate on Tuesdays and Sundays until the end of March 2026, and from April to October on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Previously, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan agreed to resume direct flights between Ashgabat and Tashkent.
