Uzbekistan Begins Leasing Facilities in Shavat–Dashoguz Trade Zone
Shavat–Dashoguz Cross-Border Trade Zone

Uzbekistan has launched the leasing of commercial facilities in the Shavat–Dashoguz free trade zone jointly established by Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan said Saturday.

The site is aimed at developing active cross-border trade and offers entrepreneurs a favorable location and modern infrastructure for business operations.

The Shavat–Dashoguz free trade zone covers an area of 3.1 hectares. Its infrastructure includes 112 open trading stalls, 28 covered trading pavilions and 16 retail shops. The zone also features pharmacies and medical facilities, a hotel, a canteen, barber shops and parking for 300 vehicles.

A visa-free regime, strong trade potential and the steady expansion of economic ties between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are creating favorable conditions for stable and long-term business activity.

Commercial facilities can be leased through online auctions on the e-auksion.uz platform.

The Shavat–Dashoguz cross-border trade zone opened Nov. 18, 2025.
