Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a video conference Monday with Austria’s Federal Minister for European and International Affairs, Beate Meinl-Reisinger, to discuss organizing high- and top-level meetings in 2026.
The two sides reviewed current issues in bilateral cooperation across political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.
Special attention was given to collaboration within multilateral frameworks, including the United Nations, the European Union, and the OSCE. Both ministers praised the level of engagement in international forums.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on international issues of mutual interest.
Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Austria were established Oct. 16, 1992.
