Uzbek confectionery chain Safia plans to enter the Turkmenistan's market, co-founder Bekzod Samigjanov said Wednesday during an open dialogue between ambassadors and business representatives in Tashkent, Spot.uz reported.

Safia is already present in Kazakhstan and Tajikistan and plans to further expand its geographic footprint. Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan were named among the priority markets for future growth.

In Kazakhstan, the chain has opened about 10 outlets. Over one year, Safia’s confectionery exports totaled between $7 million and $8 million, Samigjanov said.

Safia was founded in 2001 and currently operates more than 145 branches.
