The Galkynysh national equestrian performance group received international certificates from the World Circus Federation and the European Circus Association for its contributions to circus arts. The awards ceremony took place during the 48th International Circus Festival, held January 16–25, 2026, in Monte-Carlo, Monaco.
The honors recognized the high international standard of Turkmen circus arts and the unique equestrian performance school based on traditional jigit techniques, official Turkmen media reported Saturday.
Turkmen representatives attended the festival as honorary guests, highlighting the global circus community’s interest in the country’s achievements.
Founded in 1974, the International Circus Festival in Monte-Carlo is considered one of the most prestigious in the world, bringing together leading performers and promoting the exchange of expertise among countries.
