Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan discussed expanding cargo shipments through the Caspian Sea–Black Sea transit corridor, including the ports of Turkmenbashi, Baku, Poti, Batumi, and Constanța.
The talks took place in Baku between a Turkmen delegation led by Turkmenbashi International Seaport Director Parahat Jumayev and Baku International Sea Port Director Eldar Salakhov, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported Tuesday.

Officials highlighted the strategic partnership between the ports of Turkmenbashi and Baku (Alyat), noting efforts to increase cargo flows, simplify cross-border and customs procedures, and reduce tariffs, which have boosted multimodal transport and container transit.
The Caspian Sea–Black Sea corridor links Central Asia with Europe through Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Romania.
