The total trade volume between Turkmenistan and Türkiye from January to November 2025 reached about $2 billion, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Ahmet Demirok, said Wednesday at a press conference in Ashgabat.
The ambassador noted that trade between the two countries continues to grow, with a long-term goal of reaching $5 billion.
Demirok also reminded that the “Export Products Exhibition of the Republic of Türkiye” will take place in Ashgabat on February 10–12. More than 80 Turkish companies are expected to participate, creating new opportunities for business contacts.
In April 2026, Ashgabat will host the ninth meeting of the Turkish-Turkmen Intergovernmental Economic Cooperation Group. The ambassador said the event will be co-chaired by Türkiye’s Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz and Turkmenistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Nokerguly Atagulyyev.
The agenda includes discussions on current and prospective joint projects, strengthening economic partnership, and exploring new investment opportunities.
