Turkmenistan and Germany discussed the organization of mutual business missions during talks between Turkmenistan’s consul in Frankfurt am Main, Myrat Ozbekbayev, and Andreas Jahn, chairman of the German-Turkmen Forum and executive director of the German Association for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses, known as BVMW.
The sides examined ways to expand cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries and emphasized the role of economic diplomacy and direct business contacts in developing long-term partnerships, Turkmen state media reported Thursday.
Turkmenistan expressed interest in the experience of German small and medium-sized enterprises in high technology and innovation. German businesses view Turkmenistan as a stable and promising partner, including in manufacturing and logistics.
Further work on implementing the agreements is planned for March 2026 in Ashgabat. German business representatives were invited to take part in an exhibition and conference marking the 18th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and in the International Investment Forum IFT 2026.
BVMW represents more than 900,000 small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany and has offices in 85 countries.
