SOKOLOV Celebrates Art With Rovshen Nepesov Orchestra Performance in Ashgabat
Symphonic concert organized by the SOKOLOV jewelry franchise, February 4, 2026, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

The Turkmenistan franchise of the Russian jewelry brand SOKOLOV organized a symphonic concert that brought together classical music, culture, and jewelry on Wednesday evening at the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theatre in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan. The event gathered representatives of the diplomatic community, business circles, artists, and jewelry enthusiasts.

The stage featured the orchestra of composer Rovshen Nepesov, Honored Artist of Turkmenistan, alongside soloist Atajan Berdiyev, a National Artist of Turkmenistan. The concert program combined classical, national, and contemporary musical works.

Under the direction of conductor Eziz Jumaniyazov, the orchestra performed musical illustrations for Alexander Pushkin’s “The Snowstorm” (Metel) by Russian composer Georgy Sviridov. The program also included works by prominent Turkmen composers Nury Halmammedov and Aman Agajykov, highlighting Turkmenistan’s musical heritage.

Several soloists performed throughout the evening, including vocalists Ayna Bayramgeldiyeva and Milada Nurliyeva. The audience also heard compositions by Italian composers Giulio Caccini and Ludovico Einaudi, Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich, and German composer Hans Zimmer. The program further featured symphonic arrangements of modern popular works, including Adele’s “Skyfall” and the soundtrack from the film Interstellar.

Visual elements accompanied the musical performance, emphasizing refined artistry and precision and creating a layered aesthetic experience for the audience.

“This evening became a dialogue between classical music and jewelry craftsmanship — arts perfected over time,” said Yhlas Mammedov, director of the SOKOLOV franchise premium store in Ashgabat. “Music has a unique ability to bring people together, and it was important for us to see representatives of different communities gathered by a shared love of culture.”

The concert was among the notable cultural events of the week in Ashgabat, showcasing the city’s role as a venue for dialogue between national traditions and international artistic expression.
