Turkmenistan and Starlink (SpaceX) discussed prospects for cooperation in digital technologies, telecommunications, and the implementation of modern satellite solutions.
The issue was addressed during a meeting between Turkmenistan’s Minister of Finance and Economy, Mammetguly Astanagulov, and Starlink’s Director of Global Licensing and Market Activation, Rebecca Hunter, held on the sidelines of the second B5+1 Business Forum, February 4–5, 2026, in Bishkek, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.
Both sides confirmed their interest in further developing long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation.
Starlink is a global satellite communications system developed by SpaceX to provide high-speed internet from anywhere in the world. The project is owned by American entrepreneur Elon Musk, and its satellites are launched using SpaceX rockets.
