Turkmenistan and Türkiye discussed creating new business opportunities and boosting commercial contacts during a bilateral meeting Tuesday in Ashgabat, Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat said on social media. The meeting was held between Bolat and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyyev.

The talks focused on organizing joint exhibitions, investment forums, and bilateral business meetings aimed at stimulating entrepreneurship and attracting investment.

Officials also confirmed their readiness to expand cooperation across all economic sectors, including trade, contracting, joint investments, energy, transport, and tourism.

The two sides noted that bilateral trade reached $2.2 billion in 2025 and expressed their intention to continue efforts to raise it to $5 billion.

The meeting took place during the exhibition of export goods from Türkiye in Ashgabat, which runs Feb. 10–12.
